RECYCLING HARD ON EARTH—NASA TO DO IT IN SPACE

NASA plans to 3D print recycled plastics in space to save on replenishing missions.

So does that basically mean they are going to take our used and recycled plastic to store it in space?

I think it is more along the lines of reusing what they already have up at ISS. Eliminating the need for excess replenishment trips. It cost about ten thousand dollars per pound to haul into space.

It sounds great! This machine just melt a plastic object and turn it into a new base plastic. This is extremely valuable and make me think that we will soon have a Doremon each.

Even better. 3D printing! Which gives a chance to test gravity on the printer and technique.
