Genetically engineered salmon

First Genetically engineered salmon was sold in Canada. It’s first time a Genetically engineered animal has been sold for food. It took 25 years to get to this point. The fish, a variety of Atlantic salmon (Salmon salary) is engineered to grow faster than that if it’s non-genetically modified counter part, reaching market size in roughly the half time, around 18 months. It was raised in a tank in a small facility in Panama. It is given growth hormone along with growth regulator elements from two different species.

What are your views on this?

Wow! Half the time to grow to market size!? That's incredible. Sometimes I wonder if we're interfering with nature too much. I guess we need to watch our actions carefully.

In not a fan of pumping my food full of hormones but I am in favor of abundance. I guess the question of what the long term effects of eating it are, will always remain on my mind.

Yes brother but sometimes there is no other way when it comes to advancement.

Neither I am brother, we need abundance and advancement. The fruits we eat today most of them grow by vegetative propagation and drafting.
