Preimplantation genetic dignosis

China is taking measures to eradicate diseases in the next generation in a whole new way. Preimplantation genetic dignosis (PDG) is being implied so that couples can undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). This IVF prevents the passage of genetic mutations, that could result in disease or disability in children, from parents to children. CRISPR has been used to edit gene for fixing disease-causing mutations, but this technique has not been refined and approved yet. On the contrary, PGD has already started to be applied on clinical level, and many people has manifested from it. This technique is being used to select the sex, intelligence and different traits of babies. Those embryos that doesn't pass the tests are discarded. Many diseases such as deafness, blindness, etc are the main targets of PGD.
