ROBOT LEARN STUDYING BRAIN CELLS

on Sun Sep 24, 2017 8:48 am
Whole cell recording (WCR) or whole-cell path clamp electrophysiology is a technique that is used to study the neurons during different states. This procedure has been used by scientists, to understand the functioning of brain during different brain disorders. This technique gives an idea about the electrical activity of the individual neurons in the brain of a mammal. In this way the idea about the electric function of neurons in different disorders is gained. This technique is a challenging technique as very precise movements are required. Scientists have recently developed a robot program that can guide micropipettes to specific neurons in cells are can record electric currents. This is a fully automated platform to do this.
