Biotechnology comprises basic and applied research that integrates different approaches derived from technology and application of the biological sciences, such as cell biology, molecular biology, bioinformatics and applied marine microbiology.

The diverse field of biotechnology include Marine biotechnology, agricultural biotechnology, pharmaceutical research, genetic engineering, industrial biotechnology (fermentation industry), environmental biotechnology, molecular and cell biology etc. Here biotechnology play important role for the welfare and service to mankind.
